Ayden Calmes is a 2026 SS/RHP, 3B with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Curaçao, CU who attends Radulphus College. Medium frame with a high waist and long limbs, room to fill and grow throughout moving forward. Ran a 9.72 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop,, fields the ball out front, glove plays well at the ball, quick transfer out of glove and shows comfort dropping slot when going up the middle, nice skills to build off of moving forward, moves well to either side. Also pitched, hooked arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 68 mph, will continue to find consistent release point, big shape to curveball up to 56 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Gets downward with swing at launch at times, keeps hands inside the ball, shows the ability to get the barrel to the ball with sound fundamentals, handsy swing and will continue to make jumps with added strength. Excellent student.
