Joel Reyes is a 2023 LHP/ with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Evergreen Valley. Ran a 7.64 second sixty. Primary left-handed pitcher with a slender build. Works through the windup with a slower pace getting into the back side with drop and drive actions, arm woks long Arn free through the back to a low three-quarters arm slot with young arm speed. Fastball sat 69-72 mph with arm side run finding the zone a good amount while getting swings and misses, showed a curveball in the low 60's with young intent and 1-7 shape while the changeup has slight fade in the mid 60's for a third pitch. Approaches the ball under control in the outfield transitioning into a shorter arm action with young arm strength. Does a nice job working to the left side of the ball allowing him to transfer to the left hand with he feet in a throwing position to make accurate double play feeds. Left-handed hitter, starts with an even stance using a moderate leg lift to time up the swing with a simple hand laid creating separation. Showed flashed of bat speed impacting the ball best to the pull side with more power to tap into in the frame.
