Rohan B Shah is a 2020 RHP/3B/MIF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Burr Ridge, IL who attends Lyons Twp HS. Large frame with long limbs and a lean, athletic build. Projects to support additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Primary right handed pitcher with a side step delivery. Stays balanced and flexed on back side at gather. Utilized lower half well while working to the plate. Released from a low three-quarters arm slot generating running action with fastball in the low 80's, topped at 84 miles per hour. Tends to slow arm speed slightly with curveball offering, created good sweep to glove side when maintaining arm speed through extension. Looked to attack the zone with both pitches while showing developing feel for the outer edges. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Works to contact with linear lower half actions. Created slight hand coil at load and launch to baseball on a loose path. Line drive barrel plane through extension. Primarily worked to the middle of the field and pull side gap. Created good jump to the gap when turning barrel head to contact. Named to the 2018 Pitcher/Catcher Showcase, Top Prospect List.
