2021 Fall Midwest Workout Showcase
Reid Meier is a 2024 OF/RHP, MIF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Cedar Rapids Prairie. Recorded a 6.91 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame and lean build with plenty of physical development still remaining. Primary outfielder with clean actions, plays through the ball well and shows good arm strength. Utilizes a short arm action and makes accurate throws, projectable athlete overall, will improve as he uses his lower half more actively through the process. Secondary right-handed pitcher with tall and fall lower half mechanics, stays upright throughout the delivery. Utilizes a medium arm circle that gets slightly off line in the back but comes through clean. Flashed a developing curveball and a changeup as his secondaries. Smooth delivery overall, has some potential on the mound. Right-handed hitter with a deep and tight hand set and an open stance. Utilizes a controlled leg lift trigger, has some quickness in the hands and the swing is smooth overall. Developing barrel control at present, will continue to improve and has the tools to do so.
