Roberto Negron is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Land O Lakes, FL who attends Steinbrenner. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength to frame and additional room to grow. Ran a 7.97 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball and shows sound footwork on the approach, looseness to arm and shows nice carry out of hand with athleticism throughout, compact arm, fields it off to side, shows fluidity in actions and accuracy on throws. Quality footwork around the first base bag as well, clean arm action and plays with energy, arm strength on throws and can change slot as needed. Also pitched, smoothness to delivery and repeats well which allows for plenty of strikes; long and fluid arm action while working out to a lower three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, comes out of hand well and able to induce weak contact, velocity will continue to jump. Curveball was consistent sweeper he was able to land to glove side up to 64 mph. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a shorter stride moving into contact. Simple approach at the plate with handsy swing, stays upright throughout swing, shorter finish through point of contact; flashes occasional back spin to pull side but can use all fields.
