Tino Valdez is a 2022 SS/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Loyola. Lean frame. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.52 seconds. Primary shortstop, moves well laterally, showed athleticism, has good hands and feet. Displayed strong accurate throws. From the mound, throws from a three-quarter arm slot, had a quick tempo. The fastball sat 82-84 mph, worked the bottom of the zone. Worked a two pitch mix, the curveball sat. 67 mph, had 12/5 shape with a slight loop. Right handed hitter, has an uppercut swing, created a lot of line drives. Excellent student.
