MAX MAHER is a 2028 SS/RHP/C with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton. Features a smaller lean build with some present athleticism and plenty of room to add. Ran a 6.96 60-yd dash. In the OF, he showed a good first step where he eventually worked with some quickness to the baseball. Fields it slightly off to the side and a bit deep but works through it well without breaking momentum. Smaller regather into throwing motion where he uses a longer arm path. Uphill shoulders which he pulls down from that gets off on-line and accurate throws with some quality arm strength. In the INF, showed developing actions but showed lightness to the feet that could allow him to stick up the middle. Solid glove actions that showed softness at reception. A bit longer in getting to release where he kept the same arm action and got off throws with avg. strength. At the plate, he sits in a taller/narrow stance. Uses a leg lift trigger that starts early and lands on time. Clean bat path where he throws the barrel on a slightly uphill path with some good feel for the barrel and flashes of some above avg. bat speed for his level. Middle-pull approach throughout his round with sneaky impact.
