Hudson Morgan is a 2023 2B/RHP/OF with a 5-1 100 lb. frame from Kernersville, NC who attends East Forsyth. Young, square shouldered build with a lean, projectable build with room to fill and develop physically moving forward. Ran an 8.30 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, fields the ball close to body, glove plays at the ball and can continue to incorporate additional lower half into actions, quick transfer out of glove and shows accuracy to the bag, arm strength will keep improving on throws across. Alsop itched, simple delivery with a leg lift up to belt, stays short through backside with a three-quarters release; strides open with lower half mechanics, fastball topped out at 61 mph and showed confidence landing curveball for strikes, shows 12-6 shape. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and lower back elbow and an even stance at the plate. Utilizes a short stride moving into contact, stays linear with swing path through the zone and employs a contact oriented approach. Shows a fuller swing plane, works to all parts of the field, bat speed will continue to develop with added physical strength.
