Samuel Lowe is a 2027 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Douglasville, GA who attends Alexander. Features a smaller/wiry build with plenty of room/time to add. Ran a 7.55 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed developing actions. Works more direct to the baseball with avg. footspeed and where the glove gets down just on time and fields it clean/out-front. Quick funnel post reception but takes an extra shuffle with a glove-tap that hurt some of his quickness to release. Used a shorter arm action that got off accurate throws across with decent strength. At the plate, he sits in a wider and open stance that holds an upright barrel. He uses a subtle leg lift trigger but seems just to play it as rhythm as he doesn't get off his backside well when he gets to footstrike. His quick hands take a linear path to the baseball that seemed to be because of a more contact oriented approach. On the mound, he side steps into a belt high knee tuck. More of a pushy lower half move towards the baseball. His arm worked more hand-lead out the glove for a longer arm action and to release out of a normal 3/4 slot. His fastball worked up to 78 and it exhibited some natural arm side. Mixed in an effective low 70s changeup as well that flashed good dpeth.
