Jonah Swarts is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Chester, NJ who attends West Morris Mendham. Recorded a 4.90 second forty-yard dash time. Tall, slender frame with long levers, a high waist and plenty of room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher; simple, repeatable delivery with higher leg lift into balance and good lower half engagement down the slope. Fastball worked in the upper-70s to low-80s throughout his outing and topped out at 83 mph in this look. Mixed in a developing slider and firm changeup as his secondary offerings with both showing promise as potential offerings down the road. Will continue to improve with additional velocity and minor refinements mechanically. Secondary outfielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set and solid arm strength. Exhibits anticipatory actions into the fielding process and uses a deep funnel to gather cleanly off his front foot. Carries momentum well into release and recorded online, accurate throws up to 85 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open stance with an even hand set, high back elbow and small leg lift trigger. Line drive strike with compact hand speed and good extension out in front. Whole field approach with good adjustability with the barrel and some power potential from gap-to-gap.
