Caleb McLawhorn is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Winterville, NC who attends D H Conley. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. 7.48 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, arm works well and creates good carry on his throws without much momentum through release, footwork and fundamentals will improve with coaching and repetitions, plenty athletic enough to be a solid defender. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with a hanging front leg load, high hands to start which creates some steepness to his swing, hands are quick and strong and create plenty of bat speed, can make adjustments to stay on plane longer, ball comes off the barrel hard and showed the ability to drive the gaps with carry. Took a turn on the mound, has a quick and compact arm action from a high leg raise delivery, slow to fast mechanics. Fastball worked in the mid-70's to go with a soft short curveball. Good athlete with plenty of offensive potential. Named to the 13U/14U Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
