The East Cobb Baseball Complex is set to welcome back yet another WWBA National Championship, this time, make it 16U.

Comprised of 78 pools, 468 teams are scheduled to arrive in Marietta, Georgia for the 19th annual 16U WWBA National Championship on Thursday. Each team will be guaranteed five pool games, spanning the course of five days. From there the pool winners, alongside 18 wildcards, will advance to the round of 96 on July 11.

The semi-final and championship matchups are set to take place on Thursday, July 13 following the rounds of 32, 16, and the quarterfinals on Wednesday. More information on the pools and a more comprehensive tournament schedule can be found linked below.

After the completion of the 18U and 15U WWBA tournaments, the 16U competition is also set to welcome some of the top talents from around the country. Ethan Holliday, Sean Gamble, Mason Greenhouse, Seth Hernandez, Jayden Stroman, and Kayson Cunningham are among some of the names from the class of 2025 that nation got to watch at the Jr. National Showcase in June.

Mason Greenhouse, from Riverside, California, can be found this week and next playing for the USA Prime National 16U team. The 6-foot-4 outfielder showed out at Jr. National with his strong arm from the outfield. The righty with the top OF velo from the showcase sat right around 99 mph and is an arm you won't want to miss at this WWBA tournament.

Ethan Holliday is the No.1-ranked player from the class of 2025 and brother to Baltimore Oriole Jackson Holliday. Ethan, a 6-foot-4 third baseman, committed to Oklahoma State in November of 2021 and continues to play at a high level. This week Ethan can be found playing for the Scorpions 2025 Scout.

Kayson Cunningham, the middle infielder from San Antonio, Texas is another top player from the class of 2025. Although the Texas Tech commit throws righty from the field, he can be found batting from the left side. Having batted right around .455 during the 2022 season, Cunningham has proven to have one of the most consistent bats in his age group. This week, you will be able to find the shortstop also representing the USA Prime National.

It's safe to say, with all of these top players, that this is a WWBA you won't want to miss. More information on schedules, tournament rules, and pools can be found on the Perfect Game website.
