16u BCS Scout Notes: Day 1

JT Heuther (2025, Fort Myers, Fla.) took to the mound for Scorpions 2025 on Saturday and was downright dominant early on in his outing. The taller framed right-handed pitcher worked with a ton of pace and attacked hitters quickly. He got the ball back and was ready to deliver his next pitch, working quickly. He showed a heavy fastball attack, showing the pitch a ton during the outing. The pitch worked into the low- to mid-80s. He reached back and grabbed 84 mph a couple of times. The pitch had significant arm-side run and was a problem for hitters to try and stay on it. He mixed in a changeup later in the outing that worked the mid-70s. Heuther also flashed a low-70s curveball to round things out. He threw 3 and 1/3 innings allowing just 2 hits, walking 0, and punching out 4 before a lengthy lightning delay ended his day.
