Carolina Elite Scout Notes: Day 3

Austin Federspiel (2025, Winston Salem, N.C.), a 6-foot-3 right-handed pitcher, was getting it done on both sides of the ball today during the quarterfinals game for his team, the 5 Star Carolina 14u Bates. Federspiel kept the hitters off-balance with a tight, sharp breaking ball and a swing-and-miss fastball topping 80 mph. Finished today pitching three innings with four strikeouts and handled the bat very well with a short, compact swing, hitting line drives.

Isaiah Abrams (2025, New Bern, N.C.) is a 5-foot-10 left-handed pitcher playing for the 5 Star Savage against a very tough 5 Star Carolina Neyra team, but he kept them off-balance all game mixing up pitches with a good breaking ball and moving the fastball on both sides of the plate. The native of New Bern, N.C. did a great job, going 4 1/3 innings allowing no hits and striking out six.
