15u Nat'l Championship Preview

EMERSON, Ga. – The 15th annual 15u WWBA National Championship begins July 14 in the Atlanta area, with reigning-champions Banditos Black back to secure a second title.

This tournament will include teams from across the country, with a large portion of the pool hailing from Georgia and Florida. Other states represented are, California, Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama. On the international front, there will be a team from Puerto Rico rounding out the 306 teams participating.

The National Championship will feature a sizable amount of the top 200 ranked players from the class of 2020. No. 1 top prospect Victor Mederos leads off the 75 of the top 100 in attendance this week, with Nos. 2 through 7 including, Jared Kelley, Austin Hendrick, Liam Norris, Nate Wohlgemuth, Trejyn Fletcher, Alex Greene and No. 9 Josh Shuler rounding out the top 10.      

While most of the 2020 class is uncommitted, there will be several top baseball programs represented, with commitments to 2017 National Champions, Florida; Virginia, Miami, Mississippi State, Wake Forest, UNC and TCU.
