Christian Mumford is a 2029 SS/RHP, OF with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Madison, MS. Medium, athletic frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows feel for the hands and clean actions into funnel, picks the backhand well and comes through the ball, young actions with feel, sound approach and makes accurate throws across the diamond. Aggressive on the charge in the outfield, fields the ball out to side, gets it out of glove quickly and shows accuracy on throws, nice tools to build upon. Also pitched, full windup on the mound with side step moving into a balanced leg lift up to chest. Smooth and easy arm action through the back, attacked the zone with fastball and topped out at 75 mph with nice extension out front. Moves the ball to both sides of plate well, worked exclusively off of the fastball in this look. Right-handed hitter, does a nice job of staying short to the baseball with quickness to hands. Middle to pull side contact with extension out front, gets on the barrel well with occasional separation in swing, will continue to progress with added strength.
