Desmond Francis is a 2026 SS/RHP, MIF, IF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Indianapolis, IN who attends Park Tudor. A compact frame with athleticism that shows throughout the build. Quick-twitch. Ran a 6.72 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder who had good bounce to his footwork, moving light on his feet. He had a good round of defensive work at shortstop with clean throws across the field. He was able to get to the ball out front with the glove, funnel well, and keep throws accurate. A right-handed hitter with a small stride working inward. He swings hard with good intent and was able to show strength out in front, working to all fields. He keeps a narrow base with the front foot pointing inward. He uses a slight leg lift and stride with a solid weight transfer. He has a simple process in the batters' box with some quickness in his hands. He had strength to impact out front and showed a good feel for the barrel. He stays short to it and was level through the zone. Had a feel to leverage and launch. Produced an 87 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Worked at-bats well in-game and picked up a barreled-up double. Also took to the mound with an athletic delivery working from the right side. He had a quick move downhill with some whip from a three-quarters arm slot. Quick to the plate overall. He showed some life on the fastball. Great student. Named to 2023 HS All-State Championships TP List.
