2023 High School All State Select Championship (2026-2027 Grads)
Jack Cowan is a 2026 LHP/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Bowling Green, KY who attends Knights Academy. A medium build with a taller frame, showing athleticism. Ran a 7.43 60-yard dash. A primary left-handed pitcher who worked out of the stretch with a leg lift up to the chest. His hands stayed near letters during the delivery, and he was working from a higher three-quarters arm slot. He had a longer arm circle through his release. He controlled the front side well, working downhill, and was able to get downhill with a somewhat deceptive look. The fastball was up to 87 mph with some arm-side run and sink to it. He was able to attack in to right-handers, working around the knees to paint strikes. He was able to mix in a changeup as well. Flashed a slider with good feel to spin it, rounding out a three-pitch mix he used to attack hitters for success. A left-handed hitter who was athletic in the box with a balanced base, using a slight rock-back load. He strides forward through it with a good weight transfer. Displayed good rhythm during his round of BP. He was violent with the barrel, swinging hard and showing good bat speed to impact. Torques well through contact, rotating the upper half hard, being able to drive it well off the backside. Produced an 887 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Used the strength well in-game during the event. He was 3-for-6 with 2 doubles and a home run to his credit, really finding ways to barrel up the ball for loud results. Also worked out as an outfielder with a one-hand gather as he worked to the ball, showing off a loose and full arm stroke. He had a higher three-quarters release with good carry on throws that came out at 86 mph during his reps in the outfield. He worked low to the ball as he approached and worked into the full arm stroke, showing off a clean release. Great student. Named to 2023 HS All-State Championships TP List.
