Lawson Copeland is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Myers Park. Athletic young build with good strength for his age and more to come. Works from an abbreviated wind up from the first base side of the rubber with a very deep arm path and some shoulder tilt, difficult mechanics to repeat at present, has a fast and projectable arm. Fastball topped out at 88 mph with some life. Slider was a quality second pitch with good spin and sharp biting action, still developing consistency with both pitches but will flash high quality with each. High ceiling young arm for a pitching coach to work with. 7.21 runner in the sixty. Plays the outfield when not on the mound, showed his arm strength well, could throw in the 90's from the outfield with actions and momentum into his throws. Right handed hitter, hits from an open start with a deep arm bar load, long back side dominant swing, looking to get fully extended and drive the ball. Outstanding student. Named to the Sunshine Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
