Walter Kim is a 2027 1B/3B with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Polytechnic. Ran an 8.17 sixty-yard dash. Worked from a big and strong right-handed frame, with present strength. Kim appeared at first base during defensive workouts, moving well laterally in order to make the plays via reliable glove actions. He then delivered accurate throws to his intended destination, registering throws up to 64 mph. At the plate, Kim uses his strength in the box, starting with an even and slightly open base. The California native keeps his hands high behind his ear before working into a simple and direct leg load, firing through a barrel that did damage to the pull side via line drive contact. Kim produced exit velocities up to 77 mph. Terrific student.
