Julian Magaña is a 2028 SS/2B/OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Fillmore, CA who attends Santa Paula. Features a medium sized build with some lean projection. Ran a 7.33 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed quality actions to build off. Displayed active feet but still developing feel for how to work through GBs but good intent and aggressiveness. Glove gets down early and shows good feel to work it to both sides. Avg. arm strength but he gets it out quick and has the ability to throw from different slots. At the plate, works from a narrow and open stance. Uses a deeper hand load and toe tap lower half trigger. Works the barrel on a slight uphill path with avg. bat/hand speed for his level. A bit stuck on backside and showed inconsistent feel for the barrel. Best results were a couple barreled FBs/LDs sent through the middle of the field.
