Gavin Cornell is a 2026 SS/2B/OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Lincoln, NE who attends Lincoln Lutheran. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance, turns hard and creates bat speed, gets into his lower half well and is well connected, has some lift in his swing, good extension out front, showed big power in batting practice but was more barrel control oriented in the games. 7.12 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, moves well to the ball, gets his glove down early, takes good angles to the ball, compact arm action with second base arm strength. Very good student. Named to the Midwest HS All-State Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
