Michael Mallon is a 2026 OF/RHP/2B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Ronkonkoma, NY who attends Connetquot. Medium build with some compact strength. 6.88 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has quick feet and is aggressive to the ball, good body control fielding and getting into his transition, bigger crow hop slows down his release, made accurate one-hop throws, repeated his actions well. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a hanging inward leg raise load, got the barrel out front consistently, showed some bat speed with good carry to the left center field gap, contact swing approach with some developing juice. Also pitched, works from the stretch from the first base side of the rubber, deeper arm action with a 3/4's arm slot, moves down the mound well. Fastball was in the upper 70's, mostly straight with occasional late running life, threw strikes with his fastball. Threw a slurvy breaking ball with some spin and bite. Change up was a nice pitch with fade and limited spin. Solid mix that is effective. Very good student.
