JJ Utash is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Bosque Farms, NM who attends Los Lunas. Primary OF with a big and athletic frame. Moves to the ball well and took good angles. Moves well for his size out there. Waits back and shuffles before getting it out. Short compact arm action with good strength behind his throws. Was up to 88 from the outfield and made throws on a line with accuracy. Profiles best in the corners. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot with a big leg raise to the belt. land in line well with good balance. Fastball worked up to 85 from a quick arm. Showed some feel to spin with a slider and curve. Right-handed hitter with a narrow base and big knee bend starting slightly open. Big stride into contact. Has a quick set of hands and creates plenty of bat speed. Could impact it the other way well using the opposite field gap with ease. Gets off his backside well and showed big time power projection. Can really impact it when on plane and on time. Good Student. Named to the 2027 All American Games TP List.
