Nick Russo is a 2025 RHP/3B with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Matthews, NC who attends Weddington High School. Extra strong physical build. Works from a full wind up with a medium length in line arm path and a high 3/4's arm slot, can get into his strong lower half better working down the mound, tends to pull off his front side early. Fastball topped out at 90 mph early, worked mostly in the mid-80's after that, mostly straight, pitches mostly to the glove side with his fastball due to his mechanics. Threw a full selection of off-speed pitches with developing feel and spin, tends to slow his arm and body on all of them and can offer more conviction throwing them. Raw arm talent with lots more there with refinement and coaching. Very good student. Named to the Sunshine Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
