Maggie Bowman (2027 Bettendorf, IA) of Southeast Iowa All Stars Gold Miller was a force at the plate this weekend. Bowman displays a confident and intimidating presence in the box, paired with a smooth and powerful swing. Utilizing her lower half effectively, she consistently barrels up pitches and drives the ball with authority. Bowman finished the weekend with nine hits, including three doubles and two home runs. A strong and dynamic hitter, Bowman is the type of athlete any college program would be fortunate to have anchoring the middle of its lineup.

Abby Johnson (2026 Johnston, IA) of Alliance Select Benge continues to impress weekend after weekend. Starting with her feet close together in an open stance, Johnson takes a strong stride to create separation and momentum. She does an excellent job engaging her lower half and driving through the ball with power and intent. Hitting in the three spot, Johnson proved to be the timely, clutch hitter her team needed, coming through in big moments. She finished the weekend with six hits, including three doubles, two home runs, and five RBIs. If you’re still looking for a 2026, Johnson is a name that needs to be on your list.

Peyton Stineman (2027 Cedar Rapids, IA) is a strong right-handed pitcher for Southeast Iowa All Stars Gold Miller. Stineman features impressive movement pitches, including a fastball, rise, drop curve, screwball, and a very deceptive changeup. She effectively works all parts of the zone, both vertically and horizontally, keeping hitters off balance and guessing what’s coming next. Stineman finished the weekend with 9 innings pitched, 12 strikeouts, and only two earned runs allowed. She also contributed at the plate, collecting seven hits, including three doubles, two home runs, and five RBIs. Stineman is the total package and clearly ready to compete at the next level.

Hope Alstott (2027 Fort Dodge, IA) a middle infielder and right-handed batter for Southeast Iowa All Stars Gold Miller, was everything you could want in a leadoff hitter. Alstott consistently finds ways to get on base and sets the tone for her team with her energy and speed. Once on base, she’s an aggressive and intelligent runner who puts constant pressure on the defense. Alstott finished the weekend with eight hits, including one double, three triples, and five RBIs. She possesses the tools and instincts to play at the next level right now.

Frannie Dehl (2026 Waterloo, IA) of the CIK 08s was a steady presence for her team this weekend. Starting from an open stance and bringing her front foot in with the pitch, Dehl utilizes a simple, line-drive approach and lets her natural power do the work. She finished the weekend with five hits, including one double and five RBIs. Dehl has the strength, mechanics, and offensive potential to compete at the next level if she chooses to pursue it.

Natalie Thomson (2026 Aledo, IL) of the Lady Hitmen 18U Crawford had an impressive showing on Sunday. Batting in the two spot, Thomson starts in a wide, parallel stance and takes aggressive, confident swings, never getting cheated at the plate. She consistently did her job moving runners, getting on base, and creating scoring opportunities. Thomson finished the day with six hits, including two doubles, one home run, and four RBIs. She has the tools and competitive mindset to succeed at the next level if she chooses to pursue it.

Ellie Doster (2027 Moorland, IA) of the CIK 08s is a solid all-around athlete both behind the plate and at the plate. Behind the dish, Doster showcases a strong arm, excellent pitch-framing skills, and outstanding field leadership. Offensively, she starts in a parallel stance, using a slight rock back to generate momentum and engage her lower half to drive through the ball. Doster is a well-rounded player with a high ceiling, and it will be exciting to watch her continue to develop. Add this 2027 to your list to follow.

Other Notable 18u Performances

Addison Lucht ( 2026 Cissna Park, IL)  a lefty power hitter for Premier Fastpitch National 18 and Northwestern commit, had herself a weekend. Lucht is very athletic with a very intimidating presence in the box. Lucht finished her weekend with eight hits, including one double, three homeruns and four RBIs.

Reilly Vetter (2026 Bloomington, IL) of Premier Fastpitch National 18u and Maryville commit was a solid pitcher for her team this weekend. Through 11 innings pitched, Vetter struck out a tournament high 19 batters while only walking one.

Makenzie Johnson (2026 Beecher, IL) of the Premier Fastpitch National 18u and a Northern Illinois commit, was another force at the plate. The lefty lead off hitter finished her weekend with six hits, three doubles and two triples.

Julia Roth (2026 Dubuque, IA) of the Southeast Iowa All Star Gold Miller and University of Iowa commit was OUTSTANDING at the plate this weekend. Roth ended her weekend with five hits, four of those were home runs and tallied an astonishing 12 RBIs while also walking four times.

16U

Jordan Hodges (2030 Marion, IA) The left-handed batter for the Cedar Rapids Blue Devils 16U was everything you’d want in a leadoff hitter. Hodges consistently finds the gap and also has the power to go deep. Once on base, the speedy and aggressive Hodges is always looking to take the next bag. She wrapped up the weekend with 10 hits, including a triple and two home runs. Keep an eye on this young athlete, she’s just getting started.

Brynne Jenkins (2028 Glen Carbon, Il) a right-handed power hitter from Esprit Metro 15U had a standout weekend at the plate, consistently demonstrating her ability to drive the ball with authority. Jenkins starts parallel to the plate in a balanced and confident stance, showing excellent rhythm and composure in the box. She generates power through a strong lower half and efficient hip rotation, allowing her to create explosive bat speed through the zone. At contact, Jenkins stays through the ball well, producing hard line drives to all parts of the field. Her presence at the plate is mature beyond her age, and she doesn’t get cheated in her at-bats. Jenkins finished the weekend with seven hits, including a double, triple, and home run, while leading the tournament with 11 RBIs. Her combination of strength, mechanics, and competitive drive makes her a dangerous hitter in any lineup.

Kayla Zipprich (2029 Glen Carbon, IL) leadoff hitter for Esprit Metro 15U was another standout performer this weekend. Zipprich set the tone at the top of the lineup with her consistent contact, ability to find the gap, and aggressive approach at the plate. Starting in an open stance, she does an excellent job of timing her load and striding into the pitch, generating quick bat speed and driving through the zone with full extension. She finished the weekend with nine hits, including a double, two triples, and five RBIs. With her athleticism, advanced approach, and growing confidence, Zipprich has a very high ceiling and should definitely be on your watch list as she continues to develop.

Lilly Anderson (2029 Ankeny, IA) a right-handed power hitter for Alliance Select Marckmann 16U, Anderson was another top performer this weekend. She utilizes a slight load back before driving through the pitch, using her lower half well to generate strong, explosive contact. Anderson did her job in the heart of the order, coming through in key moments and delivering consistent production at the plate. She finished the weekend with seven hits, including a double and a home run, while leading the tournament with 11 RBIs. Anderson’s strength, composure, and ability to produce under pressure make her a player to watch as she continues to develop and mature in the game.

Lexi Adams (2028 Ankeny, IA) serving as a steady leadoff hitter for Alliance Select Marckmann 16U, Adams set the tone at the top of the lineup all weekend. Starting in a slightly open stance, she uses quick, efficient hands to drive through the ball and consistently find barrels. Adams not only has a knack for getting on base but also has the strength to drive the ball for extra bases. She finished the weekend with six hits, including a double, triple, and home run, while driving in six runs. Adams’ combination of speed, power, and ability to spark the offense makes her a valuable table-setter and a player with plenty of upside as she continues to develop.

Delores Hubbard (2027 Coralville, IA) hitting out of the three spot for the Cedar Rapids Blue Devils 16U National, Hubbard was a steady offensive force throughout the weekend. A strong and confident right-handed hitter, she shows great discipline at the plate, not afraid to work the count and wait for her pitch. Hubbard consistently makes solid contact and drives the ball with authority to all fields. She finished the weekend with nine hits, including a triple. With her strength, approach, and poise in the box, Hubbard continues to prove herself as a reliable run producer and a key piece in the middle of the lineup.

 

Payton Wulf (2027 Granger, IN) a right-handed hitter for the Shockwaves Jenkins 16U, Wulf was another strong performer in this weekend’s tournament. Hitting out of the cleanup spot, she utilizes a slight load to generate momentum into her swing, engaging her lower half well to produce power through the zone. Already a strong and confident hitter, Wulf consistently makes hard contact and drives the ball with authority. She finished the weekend with six hits, including a double, a triple, and a home run, while knocking in seven runs. Wulf’s combination of strength, balance, and power potential makes her a dangerous middle-of-the-order presence and a player to keep an eye on moving forward.

Hailee Morin (2027 Oak Forest, IL) right-handed pitcher for the Oak Forest Lady Blue Demons, Morin was dominant on the mound this weekend. She worked confidently with a strong arsenal that included a fastball, changeup, curve, and screwball, keeping hitters off balance throughout her outings. Morin finished the weekend with seven innings pitched and 13 total strikeouts, highlighted by an impressive 11-strikeout performance in just four innings against the Iowa Aries. With a high ceiling and continued development of her horizontal movement, accuracy, and velocity, Morin is a pitcher to watch as she continues to refine her game.

14U

McKenzie Gale (2029 Manito, IL) a left-handed hitter from Texas Glory IL 29, Gale finished at the top of the hitting performers list after an outstanding weekend at the plate. Starting parallel to the plate, she uses a quick jab step to generate momentum and power through her swing. Gale consistently makes strong contact and drives the ball to all fields, showing great balance and control in her mechanics. The powerful lefty doesn’t get cheated in her at-bats and shows confidence every time she steps in the box. She finished the weekend with nine hits, including two doubles, two triples, two home runs, and a tournament-high 10 RBIs. Just a 2029, Gale has a high ceiling and is definitely a player to keep on your radar.

Caroline Tautkus (2029 Dunlap, IL) a right-handed pitcher from Texas Glory IL 29, Tautkus shined on the mound this weekend with a series of dominant performances. The highlight of her weekend came in a four-inning outing against the Iowa Blitz, where she tallied 12 strikeouts. Tautkus does an excellent job of working all areas of the strike zone, both vertically and horizontally, using her five-pitch arsenal of fastball, changeup, rise, drop, and curve. She finished the weekend with 20 strikeouts over 10 innings pitched, allowing just three earned runs. With her command, movement, and advanced understanding of pitching, Tautkus has a high ceiling and will be exciting to watch as she continues to develop in the circle.

Whitney Strickland (2030 Kenosha, WI) a right-handed hitter for the Illinois Wave 2029, proved to be the kind of clutch performer any lineup would want. Strickland keeps a simple, balanced setup in the box and uses a consistent line-drive approach to find success. She finished the weekend with seven hits, including two doubles and a triple, while driving in eight RBIs. Strickland continues to showcase her ability to deliver in big moments and be a reliable bat in her team’s offense.

Annalise Rodriguez (2030 Gurnee, IL) earned Top Performer honors for both hitting and pitching. The dual threat starts in the box parallel to the plate and uses a slight step to generate momentum. A true power hitter, Rodriguez makes the most of each at bat, taking aggressive, confident swings. She finished the weekend with five hits, including a double, a home run, and six RBIs. In the circle, Rodriguez shows excellent spin and command with her four-pitch mix of fastball, curve, drop, and changeup, with her fastball already reaching the 60s. Rodriguez is the total package and will only continue to elevate her game as she matures and develops.

Lillian Pabst (2030 Danville, IL) was a steady force in the lineup for Texas Glory IL 2030. Pabst generates impressive power by engaging her entire body in her swing, maximizing every ounce of strength. Hitting in the heart of the order, she proved to be a reliable, clutch performer when her team needed it most. Pabst finished the weekend with seven hits, including four doubles. One of her standout performances came against Alliance Select, where she went 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Pabst is definitely one to watch as she continues to develop and mature in the game.

BURLINGTON, IA - Perfect Game Softball Burst The Bubble Tournament, January 24 - 25, 2026. 15 teams in  this four game guarantee, pool into bracket play tournament, with both a 16u and 18u division contested. In the 16u Division, it was the 09 Midwest Sluggers claiming the Championship over finalist Wisconsin Heat. In the 18u Division it was CIK 08’s taking home the gold rings over finalist Alliance Select Black. The tournament was filled with lots of young talent with big bats, and several players already committed to higher education programs. A whopping twenty states are represented in the initial Top-50, a number that is staggering when you look at the amount of depth some of these rosters have across the nation. Leading the group is St. John Bosco (CA), a team that brought home a CIF Southern D1 title in 2025 and bring back a strong group of seniors to look to repeat. Stoneman Douglas (FL) is a name most people should know by now in the high school ranks and comes in as our preseason #2 team, looking to win their sixth straight state championship in Florida. Perfect Game Winter Blow-Out 18U Division Burlington, Iowa Jan 17-18, 2026   BURLINGTON, IOWA- The 2026 Perfect Game Winter Blowout, held in the Fun City Turf bubble was competitive from start to finish. Seven teams from three states converged to sharpen their skills and compete for the title. In the end, the Iowa Dynamite 18U took home the hardware, defeating the Alliance Select Harper in the finale. With that we bring you our beginning of season JUCO baseball rankings. Perfect Game JUCO rankings combine all levels of JUCO baseball across the country into one overall ranking.  The top of this year’s beginning of season ranking begins where the D1 NJCAA World Series ended, with Walters State and Salt Lake.
