16U Champions Arsenal Fastpitch 2006 was lead to victory by Makenna Moore (2025, Grain Valley, Mo.). The young righty threw 15 innings, including 29 strikeouts, 16 in a single game, and only gave up three walks. She shows a complete arsenal, highlighted by an explosive swing-and-miss rise ball with late life. She also has a sharp screwball that cuts tight into batters, jamming them. She definitely has a future at the next level.

KC Bombers 15U's Ellie Gray (2025, Olathe, Kan.) is a 5-foot-6 righty who presents a solid game within the circle. She went 4-0 in the circle, leading her team to the championship game this weekend. This hurler trusts her defense with a great rise ball that produces small pop-up outs in the field. She shut down 14 batters, only walking four this weekend.

Another part of her pitching staff, Alyssa Quick (2026, Kearney, Mo.) has a powerful lower half and natural arm strength with a great feel for her four-plus advanced pitch mix. She has a solid drop ball and a sharp curveball with speed and tight spins, keeping the ball in the infield. She sat down 13 batters, only allowing five hits and walking four.

Teammate Morgan Pennington (2026, Kearney, Mo.) supports her pitcher offensively by producing runs. This hitter knocked in three runs and crossed the plate four times. She has a smooth cut, drives her top hand through extension, and sends the ball well to the opposite side of the field.

Alongside her, Aaliyah Delgado (2024, Kansas CIty, Mo.) consistently sent the ball deep into the field. She has a solid cut, with a strong bottom half and quick hands. She sprayed the field both deep and shallow, putting numbers all over her stats; seven hits, three singles, two doubles, a triple, and a homer. She sent in nine RBI and crossed the plate herself nine times. A huge future for this slugger.

Emma Loftus (2023, Omaha, Neb.) is a 5-foot-7 right-handed pitcher for Lady Cougars 16 - Santoni. She commands the zone, hitting her corners, and fielding her position well. She has creates great spin in her pitch mix, including a late-breaking rise and screw. With this skill, she shut down 16 batters.

Kaidence Dumas (2024, Omaha, Neb.) had an equally impressive performance with 15 strikeouts in the circle. This 5-foot-10 righty uses her long legs to get a long stride on her pitch, creating solid speed. She lead her team to an 11-1 run-rule victory over Blue Thunder, with a no-hitter. More impressively, she ended the weekend with eight base hits, six singles, two doubles, and crossed home plate 11 times, leading her team in runs. She’s got a clean cut, producing great contact and pop for power.

Phoebe Duplantis (2025, Grain Valley, Mo.), a right-handed pitcher for Louisville Sluggers 16u - Clifton, pitched 19 solid innings, going 2-1 in the circle. She has developed a well-rounded four-plus pitch mix with a stellar off-speed changeup to get batters chasing. She had some great numbers this weekend; .529 average. with nine singles, four RBI, and four runs on the board.

Alijah Williams (2024, Kansas City, Mo.) is an all-around aggressive player who creates the pace of the game. This catcher for Louisville Sluggers knows how to throw the ball around, picking off any runner who hesitates. At the plate, she has a consistent bat path, fast hands, and a strong, balanced lower body. She jumps on the ball early in the count and makes things happen. She ended the weekend with a .588 average, 10 singles, six runs, five RBI, and two stolen bases.

Kaylee Casey (2024, Kansas City, Mo.) is a long, lean, 5-foot-10 infielder with a solid pick-up glove at first base. In the box she is a dynamite hitter who racked up some numbers this weekend including a .533 average, eight hits with four singles, four doubles, four runs, and five RBI. This slugger presents a wider stance, with strength in her bottom half. She has a smooth cut through the zone and strong feel for the barrel, with power to the middle of the field.

Sydney Becker (2023, Kansas City, Mo.) is a force at the plate with a promising future at the collegiate level. Becker has a simple cut with explosive hands that drive the ball through full extension. She led the tournament this weekend with three home runs, and with 18 at-bats, had 11 RBI and five runs. She proved to have the ability to keep a calm composure in high-intensity situations when she blistered a walk-off home run to take them into the quarterfinals. Defensively, she is reliable in the hot spot. This third baseman has a fantastic backhand down the  line, with quick reaction, and an arm to make throws across the field.

Uncommitted catcher Brooklyn Landers (2025, Urbandale, Iowa) for Iowa Blitz Gold 16U presents a quick cut through the zone with massive pull-side power. She’s got juice in her barrel producing seven base hits, including two doubles and two homers. Landers also is a competitive catcher behind the plate with solid blocking fundamentals and an arm that catches runners trying to steal.

Teammate Taylor Puck (2024, Ames, Iowa) has plus pop and a sound lower half, as she consistently gets her barrel to the ball with a slugger’s lift at contact. She smashed two home runs and five base hits, for a total of five crosses over the pay station.

Audrey Davis (2025, Lathrop, Mo.) had an amazing game at the plate against Arsenal Fastpitch 2006, rallying in some incredible numbers. She launched two home runs in a single game, going 3-for-3. Equally impressive, Davis went .500 for the weekend with seven hits, three singles, a double, a triple, and eight RBI. It’s clear that this hitter knows how to put the barrel on the ball. Great future for this slugger as she continues to gain experience in the game and physically mature.

Abby Sisk (2025, Holden, Mo.) had a standout game in the box, with five base hits, seven RBI, and two bombs over right-center fence. She has a short, compact, and direct path to contact, with plus feel for the barrel. Her highlight this weekend was smashing a grand slam over the fence with ease.

Zana Zeleke (2024, West Des Moines, Iowa) is a switch hitter/slapper who knows how to put the ball in play and use her speed to her advantage. This elite top-of-the-lineup hitter understands her swing mechanics and is adept to moving the ball to the opposite side. She racked up nine singles this weekend and crossed the plate five times. Zeleke is a speedy, aggrieve runner that takes advantage of errors on the field and stretches extra bases.

Amyah Graybill (2025, Grain Valley, Mo.) tallied up some sparkling numbers this weekend with a .727 average including eight base hits, seven singles, one double, four RBI, and six runs. She has a quiet load and a simple cut that makes consistent contact, spraying the field.

-Brianna Brooks

Right-handed pitcher Addison Arbo (2026, Olathe, Kan.) of Building Champion-Aces had a short, quick windup and impressive movement in her pitches that had just the touch to fall into place at the last second. She hit corners accurately and uses her pitches to control the opponent at the plate. Against her strongest opponent over the weekend, she allowed zero runs, hits and walks. Often her rise ball would result in a pop up, her drop ball would end in a swing-and-miss, and her changeup was a tick slower to catch her opponents off guard with a looking strike.

Camdyn Sybert (2026, Smithville, Mo.) of Epic Fastpitch showed great potential behind the plate, controlling the game with her framing ability and quick feet. She used constant communication with her team each play, yelling out how many outs there were and where to play the ball. Her athletic build and quick feet helped her to jump into place of the ball, whether it be to block or for a close play at home that needed to result in an out. There is potential at the next level for this catcher.

Top-of-the-lineup hitter Samantha Dorsch (2026, Lees Summit, Mo.) hits the gaps and with aggressive baserunning, stretches for extra-base hits. She used her speed in the field to track the ball to snag some fly balls in the outfield.

Hannah Winburn (2026, Lees Summit, Mo.) of KC Bombers 14U was a swift-footed left-handed batter that consistently made contact with the ball. When slapping she had the ability to have a soft touch on the ball so she was able to get on base before the infield could even field the ball. In her best game she had four stolen bases. She also made herself known at the mound as a left-handed pitcher with a long windup that whipped the ball across the plate, hitting her spots each time. Bright future for the speedy player.

BURLINGTON, IA - 2025 Perfect Game Softball Toys 4 Tots Fundraiser One Day, December 7, 2025. Kicking off the holiday season, six teams participated in this one day, 3 game guarantee tournament in the 18u Division. We would like to thank those that donated a toy, and know that they will be distributed to area underprivileged children through a local charity organization. Following are some of the top performers from the weekend. Earning Tournament MV-Pitcher was Jolee Strohmeyer (2026 Dubuque, IA), a RHP/UTIL with tournament champion Lady Expos Blue. Strohmeyer shows hitters a consistent and repeatable motion and delivery with good use of the legs in the drive phase, and a quick and aggressive arm whip. Working with a six pitch mix of fastball, change-up, rise, drop, curve and screw, Strohmeyer topped out at 60 mph, and showed good movement  as she worked her rise and curve just out...

The college players in the 2028 draft class have yet to step on campus, but they're positioned to make an immediate impact. Several high end talents either turned down significant money last year or honored strong college commitments, resulting in their arrival on campus this fall. The class is currently led by a trio of high-upside arms in Jack Bauer, Angel Cervantes, and Cameron Appenzeller. They are followed by a deep group of bats that rounds out a strong, high end Top-10. 2025 Year in Review: JUCO

Looking Back at the 2025 Top 10  Matt Barr (‘25 Niagara, ‘26 Minnesota Twins) Bursting onto the scene last winter, footage of an indoor bullpen rocketed Barr onto the radar of many. Explosive fastball reaches near triple digits with incredible spin numbers across the secondaries. Huge numbers at Niagara earned him the title of the first Juco player drafted in 2025. JC Vanek (‘25 Chipola, ‘26 Kansas City Royals) Just a professional hitter. Vanek for two years at Chipola was an impossible out. While there are questions if the power will ever reach what it takes to play first base at the big league level, the bat and quality defensive skillset at first base may carry. Donovan Becerra (‘25 New Mexico, ‘26 Texas Tech) One of the more high octane arms anywhere in the country last year. Can reach back for upper 90’s and has shown serious swing and...

2025 Year in Review: Draft We’ve reached the end of the 2025 calendar year, and while we’ve already jumped in on the 2026 cycle with some of the fall events and post-draft content we’ve had here at Perfect Game, there’s still one more piece on the docket, and that’s the 2025 Year-In-Review piece here from the PG Draft staff.  The 2025 MLB Draft took place in July, when many highly talented players heard their names called and continued their journey through the game to the next level. There’s already been some of those names making noise in the minors and guys who are moving up prospect lists and becoming names to know for MLB fans digging deep into the future of their organizations. While we are going to “close the book” on 2025 with this article, these players still have many years ahead of them, and many blank pages to continue...

Lucien Saint Cyr, INF, Class of 2026 Commitment: Bucknell Saint Cyr announced his pledge to Bucknell, giving the Bison an interesting blend of present tools and projection. Saint Cyr stands 6-foot-1 and offers room to fill in his medium frame, profiling in the middle infield defensively. The New York product starts wide at the base in the right-handed box, keeping his hands high behind the ear. He works into a subtle outward step load, firing through a compact barrel that showcases bat speed and gap-to-gap impact. For head coach Scott Heather and Bucknell, they land a high-quality Northeast infielder in the ’26 cycle, adding to a class that takes the quality over quantity approach. MVPitcher: Duncan McLeod The uncommitted junior toed the slab in three of the four games for Team Mick, tossing 3 2/3 innings.  Zero walks, zero hits and 6 punchouts for the lefty who was used both as a starter in the series clinching game 4 and he closed out game 3 on Friday in quick fashion.  McLeod was very efficient as well, needing just 42 pitches over all his outings.  In the game 4 start, over two innings he punched out 3, with one strikeout with all of his offerings.  The mid 80’s fastball regularly played up, set up with efficient use of the secondaries, with the breaking ball 73/74 and fading change-up 72-74.   Owen Bone (2026) at it again... 13u Tourney All-American Team

Article Image
What a year it was in 2025 on the national landscape at the 13u level as Perfect Game continues to expand its reach around the country, providing an even bigger schedule of events coast-to-coast which has allowed players all over show out and gain their deserved recognition. Whether in Texas for the Houston 1000 or the 13u WWBA in West Palm Beach, we saw huge, eye opening performances from the players placed below, knowing that we could EASILY build a third team and likely a fourth without much effort.  As we do every year with this exercise, it's worth pointing out the trickiness of this age group and putting the teams together with the 13u group. While the players are all members of the Class of 2030, some are younger for the grade, which allowed them to play at the 12u level where's it's a smaller field, shorter mound distance and different bats, so we'll separate them out and...

Player of the Year: Asher Williams It was an incredible year for Williams that was rewarded with a trip to the 14U Select Fest, before some more impressive play in the fall. He came to the plate almost 250 times in PG tournaments throughout 2025 and reached base in well over half of them, hitting to a .500 AVG while slugging a 14U circuit best 12 bombs and driving in 113 runs. The numbers on the surface are ridiculous, but when you look at the high-level events he put them up in, it makes it even more impressive. Pitcher of the Year: Tristan Blalock Blalock earns this honor after a dominant 2025 where he struck out 85 batters in just 48.2 innings of work with a minuscule 1.58 ERA. This included several strong performances at many national level tournaments and showcases where he was able to bully some of the best hitters in the country. It’s hard not to fall in love with...

PG Draft: Gut Feel Guys

Tyler Henninger
Article Image
While we are nearing the turn of the calendar to the 2026 year, that means we are just inching closer to the beginning of the season for many high school players and college baseball is on the horizon. We are prepping for a reshuffle of the 2026 MLB Draft Board as well here amongst the PG Draft staff. But before we get to that, we sat down and have each picked a couple of players who are in the mix to get selected in a couple of different buckets.  We have prospects who could go into the Top 30 picks or so, prospects who could be selected in the Top 5 rounds, and prospects who could go inside of the Top 10 rounds. With the draft quite far down the road and a lot of re-shuffling to be done as these players play themselves into certain spots on the draft board, our scouts picked some players who fit into these “buckets” who are gut-feel guys. These are the guys that our PG...
