Perfect Game’s mission and goals have always been to help improve the game of baseball at all levels. Baseball is a game that takes physical and mental skill. Both skills are tested in every pitch thrown, every ball hit, every play in a game.

The 2017 MLK PG Challenge will be an add-on the the MLK East tournaments in Fort Myers, and will include many of the tests done at the PG Series Challenge as well as some PG showcases.  Each player that attends "The Challenge" will be a part of Perfect Game's exclusive athletic testing center with an aim to measure athletic ability as well as baseball specific skills.  "The Challenge" now serves as the second part of the PG Series brand, along with "The Classic," and will prove to be a valuable tool for players to test their abilities and improve upon weaknesses.

At the MLK Challenge, every player will participate in the following tests

30 Yard Dash
5-10-5 Pro Agility Shuttle
Reaction Test
Grip Strength
Broad Jump

Witty Laser System
- 4 Corner Complex Reaction Drill
- Side to Side Whole Body Reaction

OptoJump
- PG 3 Jump test for Power
- PG Ski Test for Agility
- PG Visual Reaction
- PG Fast Feet test for Speed

The OptoJump software is a groundbreaking laser system that is able to record and analyze thousands of data points on how athletes move and react.  Used by the Tampa Bay Rays, the PG Series is incorporating the OptoJump system as a main component of the PG Challenge.  Using this software, we are able to identify important aspects of each athlete's speed, agility, power. and reaction. All of the measurements collected will go into making an athletic testing score, which can be compared to other participants and used to help improve a person's athletic weaknesses. To find out more about how OptoJump works, please visit their website here http://www.optojump.com/default.aspx

PERFECT GAME HISTORY
The Perfect Game network began in 1993 with a vision from former scout and college coach Jerry Ford.
That vision was simple: "To give young players the best opportunity for success, to help scouts and recruiters
see and evaluate these players, and to promote the game of baseball at all levels".

Perfect Game has been hosting elite amateur events all over the country since 1997.
Talk about credibility and reputation.
