Gold SS Ross Dodds (Buchanan HS, Clovis, CA) took an outstanding BP, driving the ball consistently to the pull side with a fast right handed swing. The ball really jumps well off his bat. He may have to tone down the effort a bit in games but the bat speed is really there.
Gold 1B Braxton Ipson (Dixie HS, St. George, UT) has a long and loose left handed swing with lots of present strength and a low effort approach. The ball came off the barrel well and he blasted a pair of home runs.
Gold 2B Austin Bernard (Valley Center (CA) HS) moves in very well to contact, although his lead foot is down late occasionally. He takes an aggressive swing with bat speed and showed some power when his timing worked.
Gold SS Cory King (Dana Hills HS, Laguna Niguel, CA) has a loose and projectable 6-3/175 build and nice current bat speed driven by very quick hands. He gets the ball in the air and projects more power in the future with added strength.
Red SS Justin Wylie (Hamilton HS, Chandler, AZ) has a short right handed swing with bat speed....he really uses his hands well to hit. He squared the ball up consistently and showed some power as well.
Red OF Cheynne Giles (Westview HS, San Diego, CA) has a loose, projectable build and a loose right handed swing. He swings hard and creates bat speed with more to come.
Red IF Jeff Antenucci (Monte Vista HS, Danville, CA) has a pull and lift left handed swing and gets the ball in the air with back spin and it travels. He hit a pair of BP home runs.
Royal C Lucas Halstead is probably the strongest player at the showcase and it shows in his right handed swing. He overpowers the ball with an aggressive swing and hit balls out to all fields....left, center and right. He has a big stride into contact and corresponding weight shift that creates length but if he can make adjustments in games to good pitching, he has huge power potential.
Royal OF Corbin Lilledahl has a very loose and projectable 6-3/160 build but has some wiry strength and a whippy left handed swing. He should keep improving as he gets stronger.
Teal 3B Travis McFarland (Norco HS, Corona, CA) is some kind of strong at 6-4/210+ and can drive the ball hard.
