Shayce Cordero is a 2016 SS/2B/RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Ewa Beach, HI who attends Leilehua HS. Nice athletic build with good present strength and room for more. Graded out higher as a pitcher at this event. Tall delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, gets downhill very well and creates angle on his pitches, arm works well and has some projection to his stuff. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, occasional arm side running life in addition to it's angle. Curveball flashed tight spin but still developing feel for commanding the pitch, rare change up. Third base look and tools on defense, has a quick exchange and release on his throws, tends to play too straight up for the middle of the infield. Switch hitter, more advanced hitter with more bat speed right handed, keeps hands tight to body, best contact the opposite way. Graded out as a pitcher. Good student.
