Tommy Carlsen is a 2018 OF/MIF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Naperville, IL who attends Naperville Central HS. Strong athletic build, pretty mature physically. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright slightly open stance with a simple leg lift load, limited shift to contact leaves him sitting on his backside during his swing, level line drive swing with enough strength hit the ball hard when he gets the barrel out front, middle of the field approach. 7.22 runner, moves well in the outfield and gets behind the ball well, has good hands fielding the ball and a positive crow hop, can get better extension in his arm for more arm strength. Good student.
