Benjamin Brown is a 2019 RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Wichita, KS who attends Andover HS. Has a medium frame, young build, plenty of room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle and mature. Posted a 7.59 second sixty yard dash. On the mound, has a leg and hand raise delivery while in sync, throwing from a high three-quarter arm slot. Fastball has good life to his arm side with sinking action. Slider generates spin and shows shape. From behind the plate, starts with a wide base and higher setup. Shows solid receiving skills with good carry on throws. From the outfield, showed arm strength up to 75 MPH. From the infield, displayed solid footwork to the baseball, good hands. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a squared stands and deep hand set into load. Swings on a line drive swing plane with hard contact off the barrels. Has bat speed and and extension through the baseball. Excellent student.
