Jorge Collazo Jr is a 2017 2B with a 5-7 175 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Johnson HS. Compact frame with broad shoulders, present strength in sturdy, athletic build. Primary second baseman, moves well to either side and shows solid instincts to the baseball. Good actions, fields the ball out in front and gets on top of throws. Also worked out in the outfield, aggressive charging the ball, shows quick arm coming through the back with some natural carry on throws when using momentum, up to 82 mph in drills. Right handed hitter, open stance with aggressive approach. Looseness and fluidity to hands and path, can get a bit rotational with the upper half. When in rhythm and balanced shows some feel for barrel and line-drive plane with developing bat speed. Outstanding student.
