Jason Kudlock is a 2006 shortstop/third baseman from Chandler, AZ with a lean athletic build at 6-2, 175 lbs. He ran the 60 in 7.04 and threw 83 mph during infield drills. Kudlock's actions point to third base in the future as he gets bigger and stronger and his footwork and actions should be a plus at the corner position. At the plate, Kudlock has an unusual approach with a negative weight shift load with a high handed set up. Kudlock hits from an open stance and is looking to pull the ball. This approach works for him. He shows very good power and the ball jumps off his bat. We're guessing that Kudlock has very strong hands and his swing mechanics give him very good leverage at the point of contact. He hit a deep and high moon shot home run to left center field during one of the showcase games at Turner Field which got everyone's attention. Kudlock's body and tools project well and is bat is impressive. He has a nice upside. He is also a very good student.

Jason Kudlock is a 2006 SS/3B/RHP from Chandler, AZ, with a very projectable and lean body at 6'2", 170 lbs. On the mound, his fastball sat at 86 mph out of a 3/4 arm slot with good late movement to his arm side. Kudlock has a nice feel for his change-up which may be his best pitch. His curveball had nice tilt to it , but he hung it some times. Kudlock is a two way player, who really swings the bat well. He has an early load out of a classic high hand approach. He showed good bat speed, and got great extension through the zone with good pop to the pull side. The ball jumps off Kudlock's bat. Defensively, he moved to the ball well, with good presentation of his glove to the ball. He had good hands and had a strong arm (86 mph) across the infield. Kudlock also ran well with a 60 time of 6.97.
