Blake Burton is a 2015 3B/RHP, 1B, OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from San Juan Capistrano, CA who attends JSerra Catholic. Long athletic build with room to fill. Long swing generates good bat speed, showed feel for the barrel, projectable strength. Hits from a slightly open stance, relaxed in the box, sees the ball well out pitchers hand, good in-game approach. Hit one ball that registered at 87 mph off the bat, but more impressively he hit a home run to left field during game action. Accurate throws from infield, arm projects, throws have some carry. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot, good extension to online delivery, medium arm action, natural cutting action on fastball, quick inning of work on mound, didn't get a chance to show secondary stuff, has shown straight changeup in the past. Very good student.

He has arm strength with carry on his throws and is also accurate. Defensively Burton moves to the ball well and showed nice hands. At the plate, He has an aggressive approach at the plate and uses his hands well in his swing. He has good bat speed and has present gap to gap pop and projects for more. Burton made good contact in game and has strong hands through his swing. He also pitches and works downhill and stays balanced. He uses an inline delivery and gets some extension out front. Good young player.
