The Tall and Short of The 2002 - High School Pitching Crop
Perfect Game Staff
Published: Thursday, May 02, 2002

Just for interest sake, we thought we would put together a list of potential good pitching prospects who are among the tallest and those not so tall. Not so coincidently, you will notice the five pitchers listed at 6'0" or less are all lefties. Led by Scott Kazmir who could be the first pick of all the pitchers mentioned below. Obviously there are several others between 6'1" and 6'4" who are not included in this list. Also, we may have missed a couple who fit into these two categories.

Potential Top Picks 6'0 or under

1. Scott Kazmir LHP TX 6'0"
2. Mark Rosen LHP MA 5'11"
3. Alex Merricks LHP CA 5'11"
4. Camilo Vasquez LHP FL 6'0"
5. Paul Oseguera LHP CA 6'0"

Potential Top Picks 6'5 or over

1. Jason Neighborgall RHP NC 6'5"
2. Adam Loewen LHP CAN 6'6"
3. Mike Pelfrey RHP KS 6'6"
4. Christian Madson RHP FL 6'8"
