Batting Practice Highlights

The following players stood out during batting practice at the Mid Atlantic Underclass.

Chasetn Reed (2018 OF, Beltsville, MD) has a projectable build, uses a leg lift trigger to start his line drive swing plane and hits to all fields.

Andrew Chi (2018 SS, Closter, NJ) line drive swing plane with good feel for his barrel.

Zach Smith (2018 3B, Jeffersonton, VA) has a strong build, short simple swing to ball, gets good leverage at contact and ball jumps off barrel.

Zack Miller (2017 C, Lincoln University, PA) shows good power potential with a quick bat,  and ball jumped when centered.

Colin Adams (2017 C, Upper Chichester, PA) has a line drive swing plane with good strength in body.  Ball comes off barrel well.

Alexander Kobersteen (2018 RHP/OF, Fredericksburg, VA) has a line drive swing plane and gets his weight shifted well through contact

Chrystian Mervilus (2018 SS, King George, VA) short swing plane with good direction to ball with some quickness.  Ball carried well for his size.

Aaron Perry (2017 SS, Hurricane, WV) has a nice line drive swing plane with a short quick path.  Shows feel for barrel.

Terry (Trey) Campbell (2017 OF, Aldie, VA) solid line drive plane and natural lift at contact, ball jumps off when centered.

Hiro Mizutani (2017 RHP, Paramus, NJ) has a low effort swing with good extension and lift.  Has strength at contact.

Robbie Holmes (2018 1B, Bernardsville, NJ) has a short fluid swing with good extension out front.  Shows a quick barrel through zone, has good upside at plate.

Dalton Jackson (2017 OF, Chesapeake, VA) showed strength in swing with a fluid barrel and bat speed.

Matt Brubaker (2017 RHP, Clifton, VA) has a short quick swing with solid line drive contact with carry.

Joseph Castellanos (2017 SS, Nutley, NJ) has a short qick swing with good fluidity in swing.  Does good job staying through the ball and creating line drive contact to mid field.

Daniel Keer (2017 1B, Lehighton, PA) has good bat speed in his line drive swing plane.  Has carry and jump off barrel with consistent hard contact.
