2014 Atlantic Coast Top and Underclass

5-Navy BP Highlights (Underclass)
8/16/2014 1:19:47 PM
Austin Beck (2017, OF, North Davidson HS, NC) has simple mechanics and a fluid swing. Beck has very strong, quick wrists and gets good extension during his swing and is able to lift the ball.

Matt Brubaker (2017, RHP/OF, Fairfax HS, VA) displayed the ability to take pitches where they were thrown. Brubaker's best contact came to the opposite field.

Cole Chapman (2016, SS/2B, Northern Guilford HS, NC) showed the ability to hit to all fields and is willing to go the other way with pitches. Chapman is a contact hitter that will add more pop once he adds more strength to his projectable frame.

Drew Donathan (2017, C/RHP, Charlotte Christian HS, NC) has a live bat that has the ball jump off the barrel to all fields. Donathan consistently made solid contact with good extension throughout his swing.

Zach Jones (2016, C/3B/RHP, North Paulding HS, NC) showed good strength and gap-to-gap pop. Jones flicks his wrists and gets a good lift in his swing.

Shawn Moose (2016, SS/2B/OF, Suffolk Christian Academy/Homeschooled, VA) gets the barrel straight to the ball with a line drive swing plane. Moose presented great bat speed that resulted in hard contact and lots of line drives.
