Zachary Basham is a 2021 RHP/MIF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Bradyville, TN who attends Cannon County. Medium frame with a lanky build showing room to fill. Ran a 7.21 second sixty yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, works exclusively from the stretch, clean mechanics with a short arm action, delivered from a 3/4 arm slot, changes up leg lift to effect timing of the hitter, pitched to contact and did a good job of mixing up pitches, fastball showed some arm side run sitting 74-79 and a 11-5 curveball sitting 67-70. Secondary middle infielder, young footwork, wide stance at point of receiving the baseball, moves weight well into throw, accurate throws across the diamond. Switch hitter, slightly open stance with a wide base, length to swing path, middle of the field approach, showed some pop. Outstanding student.
