Caden Ewen is a 2019 C/IF/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Granger, IN who attends Elkhart Memorial HS. Medium build with some present strength. Showed good game actions behind the plate, stays compact and on line throwing and makes consistently accurate throws, works on defense, 7.92 runner. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow start with a big stride into contact, has some strength in his swing and can flash the ability to drive the ball when he's on balance and timed, showed the ability to make swing adjustments. Also pitched, slow paced leg lift delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, simple delivery he repeats well. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, worked his fastball to both sides of the plate well, change up showed nice fading action. Good student.
