Tyler Lyons is a 2020 SS/ with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Thornton, CO who attends Legacy. Medium fame with a lean build. Projects for additional strength with continued physical maturity. Primary shortstop with smooth, clean footwork while traveling to and through the baseball. Soft hands while funneling with clean exchanges. Varies release point and showed developing accuracy while throwing across the infield, topped at 73 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and high back elbow set. Shifts into contact with with linear lower half actions. Direct hand path with an uphill barrel plane through extension. Looks to turn barrel head out front and create lift to the pull side gap. Flashed tight backspin resulting in good carry when squared. Good student as well.
