Chih-Hao Ni is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-3 224 lb. frame from Taichung City, TG. Large frame with long limbs, broad shoulder and present strength. Primary right handed pitcher who works exclusively from the stretch. Short, compact delivery with a medium leg kick. Gathers well at balance point and stays tall on back side. Utilizes lower half well while striding towards the plate and works over front side slightly early. Weight and momentum carry towards the plate well and releases from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Fastball generated solid downward angle to the plate with occasional sink topping at 77 miles per hour. Curveball has 10/5 shape with good spin and depth to the bottom of the strike zone. Also flashed a changeup that showed good fading action to arm side and mainlined arm speed through extension. Worked with good rhythm and tempo while consistently pounded the strike zone with each pitch. Right handed hitter with a wide, balanced stance. Hands load to a deep position prior to launching on a loose, extended path to contact. Flashed the ability to work to all fields at times. When on time and squared, produced good jump off the barrel to the middle of the field with strength.
