Colin Livingston is a 2019 C/ with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Redondo Beach, CA who attends Loyola. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size and strength. Ran a 7.54 sixty yard dash. Primary catcher with a low set and good hip flexion while setting up to receive the baseball. Generates momentum into the baseball while working out of crouch with some explosiveness. Has some smoothness and flex while working to the bag and gaining ground. Released from a compact arm action that generated some on line carry to the bag with accuracy topping at 75 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 1.97. Right handed hitter with a spread, straight stance. Stays on back side throughout swing with rotational lower half actions. Hands launch on a compact path creating an uphill plane through extension. Swings with intent and looks to drive the baseball deep into the outfield gaps. Showed best bat speed and strength when getting hands extended at contact. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition. Outstanding student as well.
