Sam Roffwarg is a 2018 SS/2B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Jackson, MS who attends St. Andrew's Episcopal School. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; very good projection remaining physically. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.18 seconds. Sets up to hit from wide-based, open stance with high hand set and back elbow. Straightens spine out into load, active hands in load, gets on line drive swing plane and finishes high. Worked back through the middle and to the opposite field consistently, showed good contact ability overall. Worked out defensively in the infield, shows good range with some quickness to both sides, fields cleanly out front and makes clean transfers, gets off quick release and shows accuracy across the diamond with arm strength clocked up to 70 MPH. Very good student.
