Jack Michalek is a 2020 3B/C, 1B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Denver, CO who attends Regis Jesuit. Medium and lean frame with room to fill moving forward and time to do so. Ran a 7.35 second 60 yard dash. Primary third baseman, worked out in the infield with developing actions, present soft hands when gathering the baseball, sits back on the baseball, could work more on attacking the ball as it comes to him, takes long strides to either side, breaks down nicely into the point of gather, average arm strength across the diamond with carry to throws, topped out at 77 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, even stance with a high hand set, short stride into contact, deep load with hands, limited weight shift into swing, downhill swing plane, best when letting the baseball travel, should work on implementing more from his lower half and keeping his head still, could improve quickly with minor adjustments.
