Brandyn Agnew is a 2007 RHP with a 6'4'', 185 lb. frame from Toronto ON, who attends Sir Oliver Mowat C.I. He has a tall, angular body with nice projection to it. Agnew has a big swinging leg kick to start his delivery that causes him to drift quickly to his front side and throws him off balance. His arm struggles to catch up and has to rush to catch up. Agnew's fastball was 78-81 mph with occasional tailing action when he was able to get it down in the strike zone. His best pitch during his 2 outings was a 72 mph change up that he had good feel for and generated nice fading action on. He threw two different types of curveball, a harder one around 71 mph that had a shorter slider-type break and a bigger one at 68 that had more downer action. For Agnew it's all going to be about simplifying his delivery and getting better balance above the rubber. He could see instantaneous improvement in his stuff with a few adjustments. Keep an eye on him.
