Cameron Lopez is a 2017 2B/3B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Medford, NY who attends Patchogue-Medford. Small frame with a compact, athletic build. Hits from both sides of the plate. Right handed shows a downhill swing plane with rotational mechanics. Tends to hit off a taller front side with a pull side approach. From the left side of the plate shows a simple, balanced toe tap trigger. Pull side approach with a level, line drive swing path. Flashes bat speed with strength from the left side. Worked out defensively from the infield showing clean glove skills with deliberate actions through transition. Surrounds the baseball well with athletic actions out front. Short, compact arm action while thrwoing with confidence, topped at 70 mph across the infield. Skills project for second base defensively at this time.
