Joshua Gumm is a 2018 RHP/ with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Manhattan Beach, CA who attends Notre Dame. Medium-Large frame with highly projectable body; excellent room to continue filling out and adding strength. Employs shorter arm action up to mid three quarters slot, has some deceptive hitch in delivery that hides the ball well and works to throw off timing of opposing hitters. Quick arm through acceleration and release, fastball worked 78-81 MPH with projection for more. Lands online with balance. Showed curveball in mid 60's with 11/5 shape and solid depth. Very good feel for the changeup, thrown in low 70's with excellent deception and velocity differential from fastball. Does good job maintaining arm speed on changeup. Good upside here with mechanical refinements. Very good student.
