Andrew Hackbart is a 2018 RHP/3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Arbor View HS. Large frame, broad shoulders with present strength, still has physical projection remaining. Primary righthanded pitcher, low-effort delivery with good balance and tempo. Hides the ball well and is deceptive, can be tough for hitters to pick up the baseball. Works to a three-quarter's arm slot with an extended arm-action, slight cross body release. Fastball up to 74 mph, pitch shows natural running action and some sink when down in the zone. Also flashes a changeup with small fading life off of the fastball and a developing slider that should improve with additional extension. Also worked out in the infield, works to ball fine and made accurate throws across the diamond after a lengthy transfer and exchange. Right handed hitter, toe-raise timing trigger with slight hand load. Keeps hands inside the baseball, shows comfort in using the opposite field. Good student.
