Derrick Schorg is a 2018 SS/RHP with a 6-3 160 lb. frame from Remsen, IA who attends Remsen St Mary's HS. Large frame, long lean build, plenty of room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional strength. Ran a 7.93 60-yard dash. From the outfield, good first step to the ball, clean transfer, long over the top throwing action, developing arm strength. At the plate, right-handed hitter that stats with a wide bee and a slightly open stance. Small load, opposite field approach, short compact swing, good bat speed, quick hands to the baseball, solid extension through the baseball. Will see improvements as he continues to mature. Excellent student.
